Canada and a growing number of U.S. states (New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, Delaware, Washington, California, and Colorado) have committed to eliminating the use of high-Global Warming Potential (GWP) HFC blowing agents commonly found in XPS.1

XPS used in this growing list of states regulating HFC blowing agents must comply with these regulations.  Owens Corning introduced Foamular NGX with a new formulation and production process meeting the more stringent regulatory standards without sacrificing product performance. 1

 

Both Owens Corning Foamular NGX and Kingspan GreenGuard insulations also no longer contain the flame retardant HBCD. 2
