Brenda Sanchez is a commercial Interior Designer whose commitment to sustainable design principles started in 2016 with the renovation of her home, discovering in that process a passion for high quality, healthy, and sustainable materials. Deciding she needed to align her professional and personal goals, she left her job in commercial systems after 10 years in the industry, where she had created, priced, audited and coordinated projects throughout the USA, including working for and with companies like Gannett, Charles Schwab, and Allsteel.

Currently, Brenda is in the process of earning a Graduate Certificate in Green Building Operations from Jefferson University, and she was recently recruited for a Coordination position for Goddard Systems, Inc., the franchisor for the Goddard Schools, where she is using her construction and commercial design experience to create and maintain standards, as well as using her skills for data modeling and analytics to help guide the company’s strategic decisions as they relate to their outdoor play environments.

The combination of her professional skills, interests, and drive have made Brenda a candidate for the Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, UK, to start in Summer 2022. When she grows up, she plans to leverage her experience and knowledge to create system-level change.

She is excited to be able to contribute to sustainability-informed industries, because what you Spec does Matter.
